Recently, Baotai Group Nickel Material Company's 4.5-ton vacuum induction furnace project has completed its hot test run, with the pure nickel ingots produced meeting all technical requirements, successfully completing the trial production task.
The project is one of Baotai Group's key fixed investment projects for this year. In June, the equipment foundation pit was completed; in November, the construction of the main equipment and auxiliary facilities as well as the cold commissioning were finished; at the beginning of December, the project team held a hot test run meeting based on the results of the cold commissioning, scientifically formulated work plans for the trial production period, and successfully completed the batch trial production task. After the smooth commissioning of the project, the annual production capacity of nickel and nickel alloy ingots at Baotai Group Nickel Material Company can increase by 2,000 tons/year.
This year, the successive commissioning of three projects at Baotai Group Nickel Material Company-the 4.5-ton vacuum induction furnace, the 10-ton constant melting rate electroslag remelting furnace, and the automated continuous shearing line for electrolytic nickel-has provided strong equipment support for the development and growth of Baotai Group's nickel-based alloy industry, vigorously promoting the implementation of the "Nickel-Based Alloy Melting Capacity Doubling Plan."
In addition, the successful commissioning of these projects has further improved the production efficiency and product quality of Baotai Group Nickel Material Company, enhancing its competitiveness in both domestic and international markets.
