3D Printing Of Titanium Alloy Golf Club Head Achieves Innovative Breakthroughs

Jun 03, 2024

On January 16th, the new 3D printed titanium alloy golf club head Designer brand launched by a Japanese golf design company launched its global debut in Japan and will be available for booking in China on January 18th.

After more than 1600 days of research and development exploration, over 1000 tests, and 19 performance optimizations, the Designer brand adopted the metal 3D printing technology of Hunan Huashu High tech Co., Ltd., successfully breaking through design limitations, achieving precise long-range and extraordinary fault tolerance of titanium alloy golf club head products, and applying for multiple patents, creating new achievements in design and manufacturing processes.

Titanium

3D printing achieves excellent performance of the golf club head, which is an innovative breakthrough for the Designer brand. Designer uses ultra strong titanium alloy to create a high-speed golf club surface, and applies Huashu High Tech Metal 3D printing technology for mass production. While maintaining high ductility, it improves the strength of the golf club head surface, achieving unprecedented performance of the golf club head; Breaking through design limitations and no longer relying on traditional exoskeleton support, the complex structure is formed as a whole, perfectly presenting a spider web like complex inner cavity structure, and manufacturing thinner, stronger, and more complex surfaces; The integrated structure of the three-dimensional skeleton is formed on the crown, bottom, and inner surfaces of the golf club head, which is seamlessly formed through 3D printing technology. Its ultra-high resistance center of gravity design achieves extremely high elasticity, providing a more sensitive experience for the batter and hitting longer distances; The new design improves aerodynamics and stability by reducing drag, and features a 3D complex structure that allows airflow to penetrate during impact, resulting in faster speed and longer hitting distance.

It is reported that in the field of golf products, the production of golf club head raw materials using traditional methods requires multiple stages such as design, shaping, and mold opening. A new product development cycle takes 45-70 days, while 3D printing of golf club head raw materials only takes one week; The production cost of traditional molds is about 8500-14000 US dollars, with a usage frequency of 8000-10000 times. It uses Huashu High tech Metal Additive Manufacturing Equipment FS200M, and can print 6-8 products per cylinder. Overall, the production efficiency can be improved by over 60%.

3D printing technology has injected new vitality into the golf product market and is sparking a new trend. In the next stage, major brands will compete to launch golf products with 3D printing advantages, pushing the innovation of the entire industry to a new height.
