In order to thoroughly implement the important speeches and instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping during his visits to Shaanxi, fully implement the deployment requirements of the Shaanxi Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government on the improvement of the industrial chain, give full play to the leading role of chain-leading enterprises, and continuously improve the long-term docking mechanism of industrial chain technology, talents, enterprises, and funds, and promote the high-quality development of key industrial chains, on December 29, 2023, the Titanium and Titanium Alloy Industrial Chain Chain Leader Enterprise Tour and Industrial Chain Special Roadshow was held in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, hosted by the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology and the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Finance and co-organized by the Northwest Institute of Nonferrous Metals. Huang Xinbo, member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, and Li Jianfeng, member of the Party Committee and Executive Vice President of the Northwest Institute of Nonferrous Metals, attended the event.
Huang Xinbo pointed out in his speech that in recent years, the Shaanxi Provincial Party Committee and the Shaanxi Provincial Government have thoroughly studied and implemented the important speeches and instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping during his visits to Shaanxi, vigorously implemented key industrial chain upgrading projects, and focused on integrating "chain thinking" into industrial development, "chain development" driving industrial fusion, "chain reaction" driving industrial upgrading, and "chain investment promotion" promoting chain extension and chain supplementation. The high-quality development of key industrial chains in Shaanxi Province has achieved remarkable results. In 2022, the output value of key industrial chains in Shaanxi's manufacturing industry reached 1.64 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 17.9%, and there were 6 100 billion yuan-level industrial chains. From January to November 2023, under the overall pressure of the industrial economy, the industrial output value of industrial chains above designated size increased by 8.9% year-on-year, and the overall growth trend remained stable.
Huang Xinbo said that the titanium and titanium alloy industry chain is one of the 24 key manufacturing industry chains in Shaanxi Province. At present, a complete industry chain of "sponge titanium ore mining-smelting-processing and deep processing-equipment manufacturing" has been formed. In 2022, the industry chain will achieve an output value of 52.461 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.95%, and a number of key core technologies will achieve new breakthroughs. This roadshow event is held in the hope that through the release of chain leader enterprise needs, sharing of chain technology achievements, and exchanges between upstream and downstream enterprises, a long-term docking platform for industry chain enterprises, technologies, talents, and funds will be further established to promote the coordinated development of the upstream and downstream of the titanium and titanium alloy industry chain.
At the event, key enterprises such as Western Superconducting Materials Technology Co., Ltd., Western Metal Materials Co., Ltd., and Xi'an Taijin New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. introduced their products. After the meeting, the guests went to the exhibition hall of Northwest Research Institute of Nonferrous Metals for a visit and study.
In the next step, the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology will continue to promote the implementation of the "chain leader system" mechanism in accordance with the deployment requirements of the Shaanxi Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government on the promotion and development of key industrial chains, focus on cultivating entities, establishing models, and creating an ecosystem, continue to conduct in-depth inspections and investigations of chain-leading enterprises in various industrial chains, follow up and understand the latest developments of chain-leading enterprises and related supporting enterprises, and solve outstanding difficulties and problems in a proactive manner. It will also regularly collect "bottleneck" technologies in key industrial chains that have industrialization conditions, continue to carry out industrial chain roadshows, and further promote the deep integration of innovation chains, industrial chains, capital chains, and talent chains.
