Sep 11, 2024

From September 9th to 10th, the Aviation Materials Forming Committee of China Forging Association organized a titanium alloy application demand research meeting at Shaanxi Tiancheng Aviation Materials Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Tiancheng Aviation Materials"). Cao Chunxiao, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, materials scientist, and titanium alloy expert, Zeng Fanchang, chairman of the Aviation Materials Forming Committee of China Forging Association, and Dr. Cai Jianming of Beijing Institute of Aeronautical Materials attended the meeting. Relevant persons in charge of Aviation Industry First Aircraft Design Institute, Xi'an Aircraft Industry (Group) Co., Ltd., Shaanxi Hongyuan Aviation Forging Co., Ltd., Xi'an Triangle Defense Co., Ltd. and Tiancheng Aviation Materials attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Zeng Fanchang.

Cao Chunxiao and his party visited Tiancheng Aviation Materials Advanced Alloy Plant, High-Performance Forging Plant and Precision Long Products Plant, and observed the company's "melting-forging-rolling" full-process titanium alloy production line, and learned in detail about Tiancheng Aviation Materials' main production equipment, processes and production capacity, and affirmed Tiancheng Aviation Materials' focus on titanium materials, deep cultivation of technology, and innovative process research and development production model.

At the research meeting, three experts and heads of various units discussed issues such as the application needs and technical quality development needs of aviation titanium alloys. Combining the current domestic and international industry status and the actual application status of titanium alloys, they focused on the stability, consistency and reliability of titanium alloy material quality, and put forward more precise and systematic requirements for titanium material suppliers, urging them to always take terminal application needs as the R&D and production goals, focus on pain points and difficulties, and make continuous breakthroughs.

The participants had high hopes for Tiancheng Aviation Materials, hoping that Tiancheng Aviation Materials can continue to uphold the spirit of hard work, continuously improve the quality of titanium alloys, strive to make up for the shortcomings in the varieties and specifications of aviation titanium materials, and provide solid material support for the domestic aviation industry.

After the meeting, Cao Chunxiao, Zeng Fanchang, and Cai Jianming conducted technical exchanges with the core technical personnel and backbone team of Tiancheng Aviation Materials. Experts said that the commissioning of Tiancheng Aviation Materials' rod and wire production line can solve the problem of urgently needed aviation standard parts and localized materials for engine blades. The large rod production line provides a new solution for the manufacture of aircraft structural parts and engine discs and rings, which is a revolutionary innovation in the preparation process of titanium alloys. Tiancheng Aviation Materials has a young and vigorous R&D and production team, which can bring unlimited possibilities to the titanium industry. It is hoped that the company will continue to strengthen R&D, improve its innovation capabilities, accelerate the verification of new achievements and new processes, and apply them as soon as possible to provide more high-quality titanium alloy rods and wires for the domestic aviation industry.

Cao Chunxiao pointed out that the titanium industry has a good development environment, and Tiancheng Aviation Materials should further conduct in-depth research to escort the high-quality and rapid development of China's aviation industry. All titanium practitioners should also seize the opportunity, cherish their youth, guard their posts, gather momentum for the development of the titanium industry, and contribute to the country, the company, and the family. Zeng Fanchang said that the localization of raw materials is the general trend, and Tiancheng Aviation Materials' new process ideas for rolling bars are exciting. As a rising star in the titanium industry, Tiancheng Aviation Materials should continue to target user needs and provide more high-quality and reliable titanium alloy materials for the aviation industry. According to Che Wei, general manager of Tiancheng Aviation Materials, the company will promote the in-depth development of aviation titanium materials, show more results for the titanium industry's upstream and downstream, and accelerate progress. Tiancheng Aviation Materials will continue to focus on the needs of end users, enhance the company's R&D, production, and testing capabilities, promote the progress and development of the aerospace industry, and allow China's aviation industry to use high-quality domestic titanium alloys, providing a strong source of power for the upgrading and development of China's aerospace and military industries.
